The project “TRIP-tourism and religion-integrated people” (No CB 005.2.23.056), funded under the Interreg-IPA cross-border programme Bulgaria – Turkey 2014 – 2020, aims to promote the cross-border region between Bulgaria and Turkey as a destination for religious tourism. Through the implementation of its activities, it aims to create conditions for the presentation of religious sites, traditions and customs that are located and practiced in the areas on both sides of the border, and which would be attractive and interesting for potential tourists in these regions, through the implementation of various communication and promotional activities.
The partners elaborated a series of 10 videos presenting the cultural and historical heritage sites in the field of religions from the two regions, presenting in an attractive visual way different religious temples and religious traditions and customs, accompanied by a short verbal presentation of the respective language (Bulgarian or Turkish language), accompanied by subtitles in the opposite language. In this way, the videos become available to a large number of interested people from Bulgaria and Turkey, who will be provoked to visit the presented sites.
The videos will be presented during the two international events, one in Yambol, Bulgaria and one in Suloglu, Turkey, which are expected to be organised early in 2021, thus aiming to attract the attention and interest of potential tourists, to visit the presented sites of religious cultural heritage in the cross-border region of Yambol-Suloglu.
The videos are also provided to various media from the region of Yambol, Bulgaria and Suloglu-Edirne, Turkey, to be promoted through their information channels.
More information about the dates and the way of conducting the above mentioned activities and events under the project can be found on the website of the project – https://trip.yccibg.com/.
