The main goal of the project is to promote the successful implementation of the EU Common Agricultural Policy in the cross-border region of Yambol, Edirne and Kirklareli, where the main economic sectors are agriculture – animal husbandry and crop production, and to create conditions for economic development and prosperity in agriculture and agribusiness.
The specific goal of the project is
- to provide support for people living in the cross-border region and working in the field of agribusiness:
- to get access to rich and up-to-date information about the tendencies in the development of the branch;
- to be able to exchange information between themselves;
- to focus on current and promising agricultural production such as organic farming and animal husbandry, genetically modified organisms, promising new varieties and breeds for the region, ecology in agriculture, threats arising from epidemics and pandemics in animals (“bird flu”, plague, mass diseases).
- to conduct a study of the current state of development of agribusiness in the cross-border region and the opportunities for its intensification and development related to improving the welfare of the population.
- people living in the cross-border region and working in agriculture to be informed and prepared for the successful use of EU funds for this sector, for rural development, for investments in agriculture and animal husbandry, as well as for subsidies for specific agricultural products and productions.
- the creation of a database of agricultural producers, direct meetings between them, mutual presentation of products, technologies and productions.
